WebSwitch 100 Phone Gateway: (IP telephony without PBX
or key systems)
The
Ericsson WebSwitch 100 Phone Gateway empowers home or
small/branch office users with Voice and Fax over IP capability.
This access device allows users to connect normal analog
phone and faxes over data infrastructure (LAN/WAN). The
WebSwitch 100 may be connected to an organization's existing
Intranet to initiate calls and faxes between on-premises
IP telephony users and other remote users connected to
another WebSwitch 100 or using IP client applications,
such as Microsoft Netmeeting or Symbol Technologies' Wireless
LAN IP telephones.
With
the WebSwitch 100 remote employees transparently experience
the convergence of voice and data over the enterprise
LAN, WAN or VPN data network while using their existing
analog telephones and fax machines.
The
WebSwitch 100 is an inexpensive, small branch office solution
that protects and organization’s existing telecommunication
equipment investment.
When
the WebSwitch 100 is used in a WebSwich 2000 IPBX system,
the analog telephones connected to the WebSwitch 100 may
invoke the total telephony feature package including voice
mail, call forwarding, call conference, etc.
The
WebSwitch 100 is available in a 2-port or 4-port model
and supports any kind of regular analog telephone (DTMF
and hook flash key) or G3 fax machines.

WebSwitch 100 IP Extension Gateway: (Interfaces to existing
PBX or key system)
The
WebSwitch IP Extension Gateway enables the introduction
of IP telephony onto an organization's existing PBX or
key system. It enables a business to expand its traditional
telephony system with wireless IP telephone clients to
offer in-building mobility services to enhance employee
productivity and increase the usability of existing telecommunications
equipment. It allows an organization to connect H.323
clients, such as Microsoft NetMeeting and Symbol Technologies'
wireless IP telephones, to their existing PBX or key system.

WebSwitch 100 IP Extension Gateway is an inexpensive,
small branch office solution that protects and organization’s
existing telecommunication equipment investment.
The
VoIP gateway has a capacity of 4 concurrent IP channels.
3)
WebSwitch 2000 Gateway: (for enterprises with existing
PBX or key system)
Ericsson's
WebSwitch 2000 intelli-gent gateway bridges existing traditional
circuit-switched telephony (PBX, key systems) and next
generation telephony in that it includes a Voice over
IP, H.323 compliant gateway with gatekeeper services all
in one box. The WebSwitch 2000 merges voice, data and
wireless communications to offer converged networking
solutions for enterprises. It allows an organization to
connect H.323 clients, such as Microsoft NetMeeting and
Symbol Technologies' wireless IP telephones, to their
existing PBX or key system from remote locations or branch
offices. The gateway supports up to 16 concurrent VoIP
channels. Multiple WebSwitch gateways may be mounted in
a single chassis to increase capacity. It can be upgraded
to function as an IPBX if enterprise wants to replace
existing PBX or key system.
The
WebSwitch 2000 Gateway performs two functions: First,
it converts the PBX signaling to IP-based signal control.
Second, it digitizes, compresses and decompresses voice
and fax streams. The system also offers jitter correction
and echo cancellation to maintain superior voice quality
over the IP network.
The
WebSwitch 2000 Gateway supports SwitchLink management
software. SwitchLink enables an organization to administer
the WebSwitch 2000 locally or remotely from any location
on the network. SwitchLink's intuitive interface allows
quick and easy implementation of moves, adds and changes.
