Office Extenders:
Small Business & Enterprise Solutions:
To
keep up with the pace of globalization and decentralization
many companies like yours are responding to the needs
of their customers, business partners and staff by enabling
employees to work outside the confines of the corporate
office. Office extenders are a viable solution and economic
alternative to buying a new PBX or key system for the
remote Branch Office or single off-premise worker. Office
extenders can be implemented for a single person working
from home or for a small branch office with up to 12 employees.
Providing
remote agents, teleworkers and mobile employees with flexible
and efficient working tools makes it possible for companies
to improve employee productivity, attract and retain skilled
employees, lower real estate costs and provide better
services to their customers.
Com21net's
remote voice extender solutions, available in single-user
and multiple-user configurations, increase the productivity
of your remote workforce by providing them with seamless
access to all the features of your central PBX or key
system and corporate LAN from their homes or branch offices.
Additionally,
EXTenders enable call center agents to work remotely,
executives to stay constantly in touch, and mobile workers
to access most commonly used PBX features through their
cellular or touch-tone telephones. Corporations can now
meet all of their remote workforce's requirements while
leveraging existing corporate communications systems.
Com21net's
offers single-user and multiple-user extender solutions
suitable for small business and enterprises. These extenders
provide off-site employees with the full features of their
PBX or KSU over POTS lines, Cellular Phones, ISDN lines,
DSL lines, and Internet IP connections. They can use their
PCs, cellular phones, analog phones or the digital phones
from the home office PBX to communicate remotely. These
off-premise extenders are compatible with the following
PBX systems: Lucent DEFINITY® ECS, Nortel Meridian®,
Nortel Norstar, NEC NEAX, Toshiba Strata & DK, Ericsson
MD110 and others.
The
multiple-user extenders in particular are ideal for Branch
Offices. They enable groups of remote workers to have
digital line extensions off the corporate PBX, providing
branch office employees with transparent access to voice,
signaling and messaging - at a cost-effective price. It
makes the branch office a fully functional part of the
corporate office PBX and voicemail system without the
cost or administrative difficulty of installing a stand-alone,
non-integrated key system, IP or NT-based PBX or Centrex
service.
Branch
office employees use the same digital phone sets that
are used in the corporate office and have all the functionality
of those phones, including 4-digit extensions, conference
calling, auto-attendant and operator backup, intra-office
transfer and most importantly, the same voice mail and
unified messaging systems.
The
multiple-user extenders connect to the corporate network
over T1 (TDM), Fractional T1, ISDN, DDS or Frame Relay
circuits as well as Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) and
Cable connections via an external network device. Using
a third-party network termination device (e.g. terminal
adapter, CSU/DSU, channel bank, router, etc.) allows the
EXTender to be deployed in a wide variety of network environments.
